Project
Documentary
In short
A sensory documentary exploring how martial arts reshapes one’s relationship to time, the body, and the self.
Le Temps d’un Battement is a documentary currently in production, exploring the experience of Shochugeiko, a traditional Japanese martial arts summer training.
Through a sensory and poetic approach, the film observes how repetition, daily discipline, and a redefined sense of time shape the practitioners. Blending movement, breath, the sensei’s reflections, and the quiet intimacy of summer nights, the project questions what it means to slow down, push one’s limits, and reconnect with a truer rhythm of life.
The film is presently in post-production.
